Personal Statement- An essay which shows your story, different things about yourself and why you are applying for whatever you are applying for.
This is important so the person who accepts applicants is aware of what type of person you are, what your background is and what drives you, deciding if the applicant is suited to the role.
CV- A document which shows your personal achievements and different things like work experience as well as any qualifications.
A CV is important to have so whoever you give your CV to knows if you are right or not to work or attend the place you applied for. A CV is also important as it will show if you meet the entry requirements or have certain experiences that would be useful in that industry.
Interview- An interview is where the applicant and interviewer have a conversation, discussing the role of which has been applied for it also requires some research to be more prepared.
An interview is important as it allows the applicant to ask the interviewer any questions about the role, it also gives the applicant a chance to show themselves off and show the interviewer what type of person they are convincing them why they would be good for this role.
Audition- This is specifically for performers, showing off their personal abilities and talents.
An audition is important as it shows what the applicant can do and allows the people auditioning to compare, finding those with the best potential.
Portfolio- For performers a portfolio consists of reflections on your talents, explaining all experiences and musical training up to that point in life.
A portfolio is important to have to show all your training and to show off everything you have achieve and can do.
EPK- An EPK (electronic press kit) is a digital tool for artists to promote themselves and their work achieved.
An EPK is important for a performer as it is a digital way to have all your achievements and plans to show what you can do and promote yourself publicly.
Social media site- A digital way to share ideas, receive advice, promote yourself receiving information via text messages.
A social media site is important to have as an artist as it allows you to do self-promotion and seek out opportunities to gain more experience in the industry of choice.
Website- This is something which anyone can use to find information, watch something or discover something, they can also share this website to others using links.
A website would be important to have as a performer as it is somewhere that you can upload all your work practically and research based allowing other people to see. Using websites as a performer is also good to find different opportunities like gigs, or auditions.
